With summer rearing its pleasant, but unforgiving head around the corner, it seems everywhere we look is some trick to lose weight or how to look best in a bathing suit. The smart ones began preparing their summer bodies right after the holidays, but if you’re anything like me, you suddenly found yourself on the brink of summer wondering how you can possibly look and feel your best before the beaches start getting cold again. Here are four tips and tricks to lose those stubborn pounds.

STOP EATING SUGAR

According to Nutrition Fitness Central, the even just enjoying a few baked goods or candies we all love can add 2 to 5 pounds to a week. Sugar is high in calories and cortisol, which is not only terrible for your waistline, but your health. Granted, don’t cut out everything that has sugar in it. Sugar is an important part of our diet, as it processes into energy. Many fruits and vegetables contain a good amount of sugar, and that is just fine to snack on. It is the artificial, processed sugar in candy bars and cakes that need to be worried about.

DO AEROBIC EXERCISE

Walking on the treadmill or using the elliptical are perfect ways to lose some weight. These types of exercise increase your heart weight without causing you to put on too much muscle. If you don’t have time to go to the gym, opt to taking the stairs instead of the elevator on your way to work, or do some squats during a commercial break of your TV show. Especially for those who work office jobs, getting a little movement in is not only important for weight loss, but for keeping your spirits up.

SLEEP!

Regular sleep is vital to weight loss. You are all around healthier when you get a proper night’s sleep (at least 7-8). Insufficient sleep correlates with over-eating, but on top of that, the right amount of sleep allows the body to rejuvenate itself and even burn some extra calories.

REWARD YOURSELF

The brain responds well to positive reinforcement. Operant conditioning is a tactic used by psychologists in order to facilitate a desired response. When a subject responds favorably, they are rewarded. When they respond unfavorably, they are punished. Set a goal for yourself—perhaps, if you exercise a certain amount of times or lose a certain amount of weight, you can indulge in a sweet or a frivolous buy. If not, say goodbye to that chocolate bar or new book. It seems like a simple and frankly silly thing, but it is proven to work.

These tips have been helpful to many over the years, but that doesn’t mean they work for everyone. For people who suffer from chronic weight gain, underactive thyroid, and other medical anomalies, something more substantial than diet and exercise is necessary to shed those extra pounds and be their healthiest self.

This is where Advanced Weight Loss comes in.

Advanced Weight Loss is a Medically-Supervised Serotonin Weight Loss Program run by Dr. Dale Eubank. After seeing years of women care having a poor effect on their health, Dr. Eubank decided to take a step back from gynecology and focus on a problem that is killing men and women alike across this nation—obesity. In order to combat the national epidemic that is supplemented by dangerous fad-diets and pills that just don’t work, Dr. Eubank created The Serotonin-Plus Weigh Loss Program.

The program consists of weekly to the Advanced Weight Loss facility, which the staff members will monitor your progress. After a health assessment, Serotonin-Plus is prescribed with their Transitional Diet Plan and exercise. The supplement naturally reduces appetite, carbohydrate cravings, and binge eating tendencies. The following weekly visits include weigh-in, a check of blood pressure, examination or heart and lungs, and an evaluation of your measurements. Once the desired weight loss is achieved, a maintenance diet is provided to keep you in your best shape.

Advanced Weight Loss has helped many people become the best versions of themselves. Testimonials all rave about the respect they were treated with and the results.
