Dr. Wilson Dumornay, is a leading Fort Lauderdale Ear, Nose & Throat physician who is board-certified in diagnosing and treating patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions.

Broward ENT Services is adding some additional services, including rhinoplasty, which allows patients to breathe more freely through their nose by fixing your deviated septum. A deviated septum can severely restrict breathing and cause serious health problems ranging from sleep apnea to increased risk of stroke. According to Dumornay, five signs of a deviated septum can be difficulty breathing, nosebleeds, chronic sinus congestion, snoring, and sinus infections.

Balloon Sinuplasty, also referred to as balloon dilation surgery, is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional sinus surgery. The procedure requires no cutting and no removal of bone or tissue when expanding the sinus opening in order to expedite drainage of the clogged sinuses.

The procedure is performed by using a small, balloon catheter to open up blocked sinus passageways and facilitate drainage of the mucus that builds up in patients battling with sinusitis symptoms. Once the sinus balloon is inflated, it restructures and widens the walls of the sinus passageway. In addition, the inflated balloon helps to maintain the integrity of the sinus lining.
